1. Introverted Intuition (Ni)
People with strong Ni are skilled at reading between the lines and connecting ideas that seem totally unrelated becasue Ni focuses on patterns, possibilities, and underlying meanings. They often see a bigger picture that others miss as a result of continously seeking ‘why’ something is the way it is oftentime requiring intuitive interpretation. Ni can make someone seem “mysterious” because they just know things without clear explanation relying heavily on gut feelings that come from these intuitive leaps. They tend to be less grounded in reality or the present moment and are usually future-focused.
2. Extraverted Intuition (Ne)
Ne users constantly generate new possibilities and exploring “what if” scenarios. This function is all about looking outward for inspiration and connecting different perspectives. Ne leads people to think outside the box and often results in an endless stream of creative ideas seeing what things could be instead of what they currently are. They’re great at adapting and thrive in situations that allow flexibility and brainstorming that seems scatter-brained but it’s all part of their creative process.
3. Introverted Thinking (Ti)
Ti is all about figuring the purest, most logical truth by focusing on analyzing details, principles, and systems to make things make sense. Ti users want things to be accurate and internally consistent, so they dive deep into how things work and why. Ti users tend to question everything until they understand it fully, making them highly analytical and they tend to enjoy working out complex problems on their own, often in a structured, methodical way. They can sometimes seem blunt or detached because they value accuracy over feelings.
4. Extraverted Thinking (Te)
Te is about getting things done in the most efficient way possible, focusing on structure, productivity, and results. Te users are natural organizers and problem-solvers who prioritize practicality over theory prefering clear plans and strategies to ensure goals are met. They value measurable results and enjoy setting up systems to streamline tasks oftentime leading to an intense “all business” enviornement but it’s usually just their focus on effectiveness. They want things done, and they want them done right.
5. Introverted Feeling (Fi)
Fi is all about staying aligned with what feels true to it. Fi users have a deep, personal sense of what’s right and wrong, guided by their internal values and emotions. They prioritize authenticity and staying true to themselves, even if it’s at odds with what others think resulting in a rich inner life where they feel intensely although they might not show it outwardly. Fi users often gravitate toward causes they believe in and have a strong desire to help others. They can sometimes seem reserved or private, but it’s because they process emotions internally.
6. Extraverted Feeling (Fe)
Fe is all about harmony, empathy, and understanding people’s emotions and needs in a social context. They naturally want to create a warm, welcoming environment and often prioritize the group’s well-being over their own since they are highly attuned to social dynamics and are great at reading the room. They can sometimes seem people-pleasing, but it comes from a genuine desire for connection. Fe users thrive in settings where they can nurture relationships and encourage harmony often putting effort into making others feel valued.
7. Introverted Sensing (Si)
Si has a strong internal database of facts and past experiences that helps make cautious, informed decisions. Si users have an incredible memory for details and personal experiences, often viewing the world through a lens of what has worked before. Si users are often detail-oriented and focused on consistency, which makes them reliable and steady, often resistant to change, but it’s because they value stability and predictability. It’s all about remembering what’s tried and true often leading to a person who is grounded in tradition and like to stick with familiar, reliable methods.
8. Extraverted Sensing (Se)
Se is often drawn to physical activities and enjoy hands-on experiences that engage their senses. Se users are naturally observant and have a keen awareness of their environment, which makes them great at reacting quickly and adapting to change. It’s about living fully in the present moment, taking in sights, sounds, and sensations to create a vivid experience. Se users are spontaneous, practical, and love the thrill of trying new things that may come off as impulsive to others, but it’s just their way of embracing life as it comes.
